International Football Tournament in Phuket
The Phuket International Soccer 7s kicks off again on the 24th of November with teams from all over the world. The Scandinavian Vikings from Bangkok, Racing FC from Singapore and Wembley Downs from Australia among 21 others teams will fight for the trophy and glory in The Open Tournament. There are an other 16 teams in the veterans tournament.
The games are played 2 x 7 mins with 7 players at the pitch for each team. FIFA rules applies but there is no calling for offside. The full size goals will also make sure that there will be plenty of goals scored in each game. ESPN Star Sports and Channel 3 from Thailand will cover the event together with numerous newspapers and magazines from the region.
The tournament is an invitation tournament that provides a socially environment for players who approach the game with the right attitude and in the right spirit. With no prize money at stake, teams take part for one reason only, their love of soccer.
